Heather Jones Training Stables

    Heather Jones began riding at Foxfield in Westlake Village, California, at 4 years old. At 15, she began riding with Tom and Pat Blackiston of Blackiston Ranch in Hidden Valley, California. She took on a competitive show schedule showing all over California with multiple championships and year end awards on the "A" circuit. 

    Heather has participated in countless clinics and later worked with multiple trainers to expand her knowledge and advance her riding career. She thanks Georgy Maskrey- Segesman of Whitethorne, Rusty and Candy Stewart of Grey Fox Farm, and Shawna Walters, a Dressage trainer.

    After a long show career, Heather went back to her roots and became a trainer at the Foxfield riding academy. She was a trainer there for four years giving lessons to children and adults of all riding levels. She then got into the thoroughbred breeding business along the side of her father producing multiple outstanding athletes both on and off the track.   

    Jones later became the manager of Creekside Equestrian Center in Moorpark, California, and worked closley with the training and sales aspects of the facility. She believes that this responsibility gave her the tools and experience to operate her own business. 

    Heather's foundations and many accomplishments help her to understand the many responsibilities that comes with owning, showing, and training horses and people. She understands that each horse and rider team has different needs and goals. Heather strives to build appropriate and effective training programs around each individual.
